Manchester United receive double injury boost ahead of Arsenal game

Pogba and Rashford return for United's clash vs Arsenal

Manchester United receive double injury boost ahead of Arsenal game

30 September 2019 - 15:28

Manchester United have received a major boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Arsenal tonight with both Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford passing a late fitness test.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Pogba was deemed a huge doubt for the league game after sustaining a swollen ankle against Rochdale in midweek but he seems to have recovered in time for the contest, The Manchester Evening News reports.

Meanwhile, Rashford picked up a groin problem during the Red Devils' 2-0 league defeat at West Ham United last weekend and he could be involved in the matchday squad tonight after checking in at the Lowry Hotel.

The Red Devils have experienced a mixed beginning to the current campaign and their concerns have mainly lied in the forward department with goals hard to come by.

Since the 4-0 win over Chelsea, the Red Devils have netted just six times from seven matches and they need to come up with a much better performance to secure maximum points against the Gunners at Old Trafford.
