Papin takes over Roux at Lens

Former France striker Jean-Pierre Papin has been appointed coach of RC Lens as a replacement for the departing Guy Roux.

  • Papin played for Marseille, Milan and Bayern Munich and was one of the most prolific strikers in Europe in the late 80's. Roux quit his job after his side's 2-1 defeat to Racing Strasbourg on Saturday.



    Lens are currently second from bottom in French Ligue 1 after four matches.
