Arsenal are considering a £4 million bid for goalkeeper Wilfredo Caballero from Spanish minnows Elche. The goalie impressed an Arsenal scout who was watching the progress of another player in the Spanish Segunda Liga.

Caballero formerly appeared for Argentinian giants Boca Juniors and was considered one of the best prospects from his homeland for sometime.



It appears that Arsenal were monitoring the progress of one of their own players when they spotted Caballero. The Gunners' scouts were compiling a report on Merida when they noticed the Argentinian goalkeeper still has the abilities that made him one of the best young goalkeeping prospects in Argentina.
