Chilean international Carlos Villanueva could be set for a move to the Premiership after Wigan scouts reportedly watched the player in action for his club Audax Italiano. Real Sociedad have also been linked with a move for Villanueva.
There will be no problem securing a work permit for the midfielder, as he has appeared in over 70 per cent of Chile's most recent games.
Villanueva is picking up a glowing reputation in South America as he continues to bag important goals for Audax from a midfield position.
Recently, the player fell out with the Audax Italiano board - which contributed to rumours that the player will soon be set for a move away from his club.
