Arsenal are reportedly planning a renewed approach to sign defender Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig during the winter transfer window.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of Europe's top prospects and he has already made a mark with Leipzig, where he has registered 79 appearances to date.
According to Kicker, the north London giants are prepared to make a fresh offer for the centre-back in January after a bid worth £45m was turned down during the summer.
The Frenchman currently has a £86m release clause on his contract but reports indicate that the Gunners are aiming to sign him for around £52m when the transfer window reopens.
Upamecano has under two years remaining on his current deal with the Bundesliga outfit and the club are said to be mulling over his sale with his valuation likely to reduce with every passing transfer window.
The youngster had been nursing a knee problem during the early stages of the campaign but he has returned to the first-team mix to make four appearances on the bounce.
