Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said that the Blues are moving the right direction following their 1-0 Champions League triumph over Ajax on the road.
The west London side appeared on course to secure a credible draw at the Amsterdam Arena but that was converted to three points after a late goal from Michy Batshuayi off the bench.
Speaking after the game, Lampard said that his team had the better desire on the night and believes the club are moving in the right path with a sixth straight win across all competitions.
"We respected Ajax, that is how we should be. I do focus on ourselves. The great thing at the moment is the desire and I think we are in the right direction," he told BT Sport.
With the victory, the Blues have moved to the top of their Champions League group ahead of Ajax on the head-to-head statistic. They are scheduled to face Burnley on the road in this weekend's league clash.
