Tahith Chong heading out of Manchester United?

Chong open to United exit next summer

Tahith Chong heading out of Manchester United?

02 November 2019 - 15:20

The representative of Tahith Chong has said that the Dutch attacker may consider a fresh challenge away from Manchester United when his contract expires next summer.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The 19-year-old has been a valuable player for the development sides in recent seasons but he has not been able to replicate the same success at the senior level under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

So far, he has been restricted to just two starts and six substitute appearances with the first team and his agent Erkan Alkan believes a new challenge could be on the cards.

"It is true that top clubs keep an eye on the situation around Tahith, but it's still early in the season. We are quietly waiting to see what United will come up with or else we will see what is best for Tahith's development next summer," he told Voetbal International.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has placed the emphasis on developing young players with the first team this term but Chong and Angel Gomes have yet to establish themselves in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have recently witnessed a three-match winning streak cease after suffering a 1-0 Premier League defeat to Bournemouth away from home.
