As talks between David Bentley and Blackburn over a new contract continue to fail; the England midfielder has for the first time admitted that he could be forced to leave the club and play elsewhere in his pursuit for playing European football.
"I owe so much to Blackburn," he told the Daily Star Sunday. "They have given me a platform - financially and to play every week.
"My contract is getting negotiated at the minute, but you never know what is round the corner.
"We need to be in Europe but we are probably not going to make it - which is disappointing from a personal point of view."
