Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on Wilfried Zaha's situation ahead of a potential swoop for his services from Crystal Palace next summer.
The Ivorian was heavily fancied to join Everton before the summer transfer deadline but their £70m bid was turned down as the Eagles barely had any time to pursue a replacement.
Zaha has since remained a fundamental figure in the ranks of the south London outfit and he has recently picked up his form with goals in back-to-back Premier League games.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues hold an interest in strengthening the wide attacking department and Zaha is one of the leading names in their shortlist for next summer.
The west Londoners are optimistic of having their transfer ban overturned by the New Year but their chances of landing the attacker remain slim with the Eagles preferring to keep him for the season.
Chelsea recently suffered a second Premier League defeat on the bounce. They are still occupying the fourth position on the table but their advantage for the final Champions League spot has reduced to just six points.
