Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said that the Blues won't go crazy during the January transfer window in their attempt to strengthen the first-team squad.
The Blues have been impressive during the first half of the season where a number of young graduates have made breakthrough under Lampard's tutelage.
Still, there have been genuine concerns with the defensive side of their game and they have managed just three clean sheets from the 16 Premier League matches this term.
As a result, there has been much speculation that the Blues could bolster the backline with a couple of big-name signings but Lampard has said that the club won't be making any frantic business.
"I'm calm about this window. I know what the squad is. I believe in what we've got now and I don't think we will be crazy just because the transfer ban has been lifted. I think we just need to keep working," he told via Football.London.
The Blues have recently stuttered in the Premier League with just three points from four matches and that has closed the gap between themselves and Manchester United in the fifth spot.
At present, they are holding a five-point advantage over the Red Devils for the final Champions League place. They will be hoping to return to winning ways against Bournemouth this weekend.
