No move to Celtic, says Moscow keep

No move to Celtic, says Moscow keep

31 March 2008 - 22:32

Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa has dismissed rumours that he could be moving to Celtic this summer.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The Croatian international was linked with a move to the Scottish club and was recently quoted in the press as stating that a move to Glasgow would be good and that he would love to re-unite with Gordon Strachan.

But he denied the rumours and made it clear by signing a new four year deal with the Russian club. The contract will run until 2012.

"Gordon Stachan offered me to switch to his teams twice already, but I extended my contract with Spartak for four years more and I am not going to take leave of this club", he said.
