Ashley Young has reportedly snubbed a one-year contract extension at Manchester United as he is keen on completing the move to Inter Milan.

  • The Nerazzurri have expressed an interest in acquiring the veteran's signature this month with his existing deal due to expire in the summer.

United don't appear keen on parting ways with the 34-year-old this month and they have now made a new contract offer, which has been swiftly rejected by Young.

According to Sky Sports News, the former Watford graduate is hellbent on making the move to the Nerazzurri and he is prepared to wait until the summer, should United block his transfer in the current transfer window.

On the other hand, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to value Young for being a senior member of the squad but the versatile player seems keen on pursuing a fresh challenge elsewhere.

Young has struggled for regular gametime this season due to the competition in both the right and left-back positions from the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot.
