Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to speak on the transfer speculation associating Bruno Fernandes with a possible move to Old Trafford before the end of the month.
The Portuguese footballer has been heavily linked with a switch to the Red Devils this month and reports have claimed that the club may be willing to meet the £65m asking price after being reluctant to do so over the summer.
Amidst this, Solskjaer has been asked on the possible signing of Fernandes but he has refuted to provide a hint on whether the playmaker is close to joining the club.
“Bruno Fernandes? I can’t talk about individuals that play for other clubs, but I’ve got to say I do have the backing. We do have the backing to do something if the right thing comes up in this window,” he told.
Fernandes has also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur but the north London side may not be able to compete with the Red Devils, unless they are able to agree on staggered payments alongside performance-based add-ons.
