Manchester United are reportedly one of the front-runners to sign Thomas Meunier from Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires at the end of June.
The 28-year-old has been constantly linked with a move to the Red Devils but that has not necessarily materialised in the form of a transfer to the Mancunian giants.
According to Le Parisien, the Red Devils are still keeping tabs on the player's contract situation and they could propose a pre-contract deal for the versatile defender.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has declined that the club are looking for a replacement for Ashley Young and has stated that he is content with the options at hand.
Still, he may be tempted to make a purchase for next season and Meunier appears an option, given he is capable of playing at right-back or on the right side of the midfield.
United are expected to sanction more players exit during the current transfer window and both Jesse Lingard and Marcos Rojo have recently been linked with moves away from the club.
