Bruno Fernandes angry with Manchester United for transfer setback?

Portugal international Bruno Fernandes is reportedly frustrated with Manchester United's inability to land his signature from Sporting Lisbon this month.

  • Arsenal & Chelsea want to sign ex-Forest midfielder
  • Chelsea set for massive double injury boost vs Liverpool
  • The 25-year-old was alleged to have agreed personal terms with the Red Devils earlier this month but that has not necessarily fastened negotiations between United and Sporting over the transfer.

United had initially placed a £55m bid which was acceptable for Sporting but they thereafter went back on the offer and made a reduced £42m bid after knowing of the financial burden of the Portuguese outfit.

This has certainly not gone well with Sporting and Sky Sports has recently claimed that the talks have reached a deadlock for the moment and the player could remain at Lisbon for the campaign.

According to The Times, Fernandes is far from pleased with United's way of approach and believes the Red Devils should have done better to secure his signature from Sporting.

Despite Sporting's financial troubles, they appear set to keep Fernandes for the rest of the season. Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid are understood to be monitoring the player's situation.
