Barcelona are reportedly deemed to be eyeing a shock move for top Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes before the transfer window concludes.
The Portuguese has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this month but a deal has failed to materialise due to the disagreement over the transfer price.
According to Super Deporte, the Blaugrana are said to be considering a move for the playmaker and they are prepared to meet Sporting's £55m price tag in the coming days.
It is added that the club may directly loan out the midfielder to Valencia for the season such that they can convince Los Che to part ways with Rodrigo before the La Liga transfer deadline.
The Blaugrana are desperate to sign a new striker after the knee surgery for Luis Suarez this month and they are keen on landing the services of Rodrigo on a temporary basis for the season.
Barcelona have dropped to second in the league standings after a 2-0 defeat to Valencia on the road last weekend. They are now three points behind Real Madrid at the top of the table.
