Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has heaped praise on defender Antonio Rudiger after the club's 2-2 draw against Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
The west London side were the dominant side in the opening half of the encounter but they went into the break goalless.
After the interval, the game was quite even with both teams creating chances on goal but ultimately, the Blues will be content with the point after the Foxes squandered a couple of clear-cut scoring opportunities to clinch the winner at the end.
Speaking after the game, the Blues head coach was happy with the result and praised Rudiger, who made a key impact with two goals from set-pieces, which has been a rarity for the Blues this term.
"I was delighted with his two goals. We need to score more from set-pieces, particularly in games against good opposition when it’s tight. So really pleased with Toni," he told.
Chelsea maintain a five-point gap over Sheffield United in the race for the final Champions League spot. Following the winter break, they have a tricky schedule which begins with a home game against Manchester United in the league.
