Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani is reportedly being considered by Real Madrid for next season. The Galacticos are keen to add steel to their midfield as Diarra looks set to leave this summer; and Real Madrid director Predrag Mijatovic reportedly monitored Aquilani's progress recently.
Aquilani's agent Franco Zavagli has confirmed two clubs are chasing the midfielder.
"I know that the two clubs have talked about the Italian midfielder even though Pedja Mijatovic has not talked to me," he told Radio Marca.
"He would love to play for Real Madrid."
Aquilani is valued at around £12 million by his club Roma.
