Walcott happy as underdogs

Walcott happy as underdogs

03 April 2008 - 23:13

Arsenal midfielder Theo Walcott is happy that his side are being considered 'underdogs' ahead of next week's crucial Champions League second leg between the Gunners and Liverpool at Anfield. Liverpool hold the slight advantage of an away goal after a 1-1 draw at the Emirates on Wednesday evening.

  • Liverpool to make move for Khephren Thuram
  • Chelsea to battle Liverpool for Bradley Barcola
  • "People can say that Liverpool are favourites," Walcott told the club's official website.

"That is a good thing really. We can just concentrate on ourselves and they can have all the pressure.

"There is plenty of belief, the lads have been buzzing in training. We'll turn to Saturday now and then back to the Champions League.

"We will take the positives out of this game, look at Liverpool's negatives and see where it takes us. I think we will go there, play our football and get a goal."
