Manchester United make Alexis Sanchez transfer decision

Manchester United are reportedly aiming to sanction the sale of Alexis Sanchez when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

  • The Chilean is currently on a season-long loan at Inter Milan but the move has been far from effective due to his injury concerns.

The attacker is expected to return to Old Trafford in the summer with the Nerazzurri not holding the option to buy, and M.E.N reports that the Red Devils will thereafter sanction his sale.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently hinted that he may keep Sanchez for next season but reports claim that won't be the case as the club look to boost their summer transfer kitty with the attacker's sale.

Sanchez has featured just 10 times for the Nerazzurri this term due to his fitness problems. He started the recent Milan derby where the Nerazzurri picked up a 4-2 comeback win.

United are currently paying part of the player's £400,000-a-week package and they may have to compensate similarly for the remainder of his contract until June 2022 even if they sanction his permanent exit.
