Arsenal set to lose Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?

Arsenal are reportedly resigned to selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer after deciding against meeting his wage demands for a new contract.

  • The Gabon international has netted 20 goals during the course of the current campaign and 17 of those have come in the Premier League.

As such, he has been instrumental towards the club's push for European football next season but there remain doubts regarding his long-term future with his contract due to expire in 15 months' time.

According to The Mail, the north London side are unlikely to meet Aubameyang's significant wage demands and they could sanction his sale when he enters the final year of his contract this summer.

The Gunners have failed to secure Champions League football for three seasons and reports claim that they won't be able to meet Aubameyang's demands unless they qualify for the competition.

Aubameyang is currently on a £200,000-a-week package at the north London side. He is apparently looking for a 35 percent hike on the salary which appears infeasible for the Gunners board at the moment.
