Ramos rues missed chances

After seeing Tottenham throw away several chances to pick up a win, Spurs' boss Juande Ramos hit out at his side for failing to take their chances at the right times in the 1-1 draw with Blackburn on Saturday in the Premiership.

  • "In the first half we had some excellent chances," said the former Sevilla boss. "We had good possession of the ball and with the chances we created, we maybe should have decided the game in that first half.

"Then the equaliser came and that meant the second half was much more even and as the game went on, there were less and less chances and it was always going to be a draw towards the end.

"It was a case of not being more assertive in the final shot. Football is all about converting chances and we were in front of goal on a number of occasions with some real opportunities and it was just about not being decisive enough in that final finish."
