Southgate hints at Boro exits

06 April 2008 - 00:41

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has hinted that many of his players are battling for their Premiership futures at the club. With six games left, Boro look certain to be safe for another year, but Southgate has revealed there could be some player exits in the summer transfer window.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • He said: "As a manager you are looking at all your players and staff to see how they approach the last six games. It will tell us who can take us forward and what changes need to be made.

"People will get opportunities in this period but we have got to finish the season strongly. We are not yet mathematically safe and we still have to get results to ensure that."
