Porto completed a memorable season in the Portuguese top flight this season as they managed to win their third title in three years to continue their domestic dominance. The 6-0 victory over Estrela Amadora sealed the title.

  • Over 50,000 fans watched on at the stadium with the knowledge that a victory could be enough for Porto to clinch the Championship. Porto did so with an incredible five matches to go.



    Porto have a superb 18 point lead over second place in the league.



    Lucho Gonzalez and Tarik Sektioui got the ball rolling early on; more goals were to come with Raul Meireles providing the cross from which Quaresma made it 3-0 in the 64th.



    An own goal assisted Porto for their fourth, before Bruno Alves nabbed the fifth and Lopez scored his second to seal the result and the title.
