Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has said that he is committed to the club and will fight for his position under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Brazilian was a regular from the starting XI during the first half of the campaign but he failed to impress from the number 10 role.

As a result, he was dropped to the bench following the mid-season arrival of Bruno Fernandes and he has since failed to make the matchday squad on occasions.

In a report covered by the club's website, Pereira said that Solskjaer has always supported the younger players and he is hoping to repay the manager's faith.

"Ole knows we will always be there for him. The young players give our faith and do everything to protect him, as he gives all his trust to us. I'm very honoured and that's why, as well, I want to stay at United," he told.

Pereira has been limited to only 188 minutes of first-team football since the winter break and he has made just two appearances in the Premier League off the bench.

He has been linked with a potential exit from Old Trafford during the summer but judging by his comments, he is likely to stay put with the club next season.
