Chile international Alexis Sanchez is unlikely to leave Manchester United on a permanent basis when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
The 31-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Inter Milan, where he has scored just once from 15 appearances in all competitions.
According to Sky Sports News, the attacker is expected to return to Old Trafford this summer but the club will struggle to offload him on a permanent basis.
The former Arsenal man is paid more than £450,000-a-week at United and reports claim that he won't accept a pay-cut in order to part ways with the Mancunian giants.
As such, there is the genuine possibility that he could be loaned out for another season but United would still have to pay up part of the wages as no side is likely to meet his salary demands.
Sanchez has failed to live up to his expectations since leaving Arsenal in January 2018 and he has netted only six goals from 60 appearances over the past two years.
