Sven has eyes on Europe

Sven has eyes on Europe

06 April 2008 - 14:03

Another home defeat for Man City leaves the Citizens well off the pace for a UEFA Cup qualification place, but Swedish coach Sven-Goran Eriksson refuses to be down beat and believes that the club can still recover and qualify for the European showpiece.

  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Crystal Palace, Evans starts
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • "If you can play football like that against a top team in the Premier League, even the world, then you know you can do things," he said.

"There are still five games to go and the important thing now is not to give up, and try to take as many points as possible. Then we will see what's happening and see where we are in the table.

"As long as Europe is possible, we have to believe it and we have to fight for it. I hope we have the same spirit and character next week."
