Beye joins Newcastle

Newcastle have completed the signing of 29 year old defender Habib Beye from French side Marseille. The Senegalese player joined in the closing minutes of the transfer window.

Beye has established himself as one of the most accomplished defenders in France's top division. He prefers to play right back but is very comfortable in the middle, and is an important addition to Newcastle's squad.
