Manchester United have confirmed that midfielder Nemanja Matic has put pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract with the club.
Earlier this year, the Red Devils decided to extend Matic's stay until next summer after triggering the 12-month option available to them.
Still, talks were said to be ongoing over a longer contract and it has now been revealed that he has signed a fresh deal until June 2023.
"I am very happy that I will continue to be part of this great club. I still have a lot more to give and achieve in my career and to do that with Manchester United will be a huge honour," he told the club's official website.
Matic has been a regular in the defensive midfield role ahead of Scott McTominay and Fred since the restart after the COVID-19 break.
He should keep his place for the majority of the remaining league games as the club make the push for the top four to qualify for the Champions League.
