Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor is confident that he will continue to find his goalscoring feet after breaking his three month duck with a goal against Bolton last weekend. Agbonlahor targetted an England call up this week.
"It was pleasing to get the goal last weekend but, as long as I was doing other things for the team as well, it didn't really matter who scored the goals," Agbonlahor said.
"I knew the goals would come. It was a matter of being patient and not letting your head drop. It has not affected my confidence. I really mean that.
"The gaffer has showed a lot of confidence in me, supported me quite a bit in the media, and he knows I am capable of scoring goals.
"It is always good when you get the backing of your manager. But, like I said, there is a lot more to my game than putting the ball in the net."
