Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has expressed his disappointment following the club's 3-0 Premier League defeat at Sheffield United on Saturday.
The Blues had the opportunity to enhance their top four hopes with a victory over the Blades, but they were outclassed by Chris Wilder's men, who were the better side in the final third.
With the 3-0 loss, the west London giants are facing the prospect of dropping into the fifth spot for the first time since October and Lampard has rued the individual errors which proved costly at Bramall Lane.
"They’re disappointing goals, mistakes that led to goals, individual errors, and if you do that you will lose football matches against good teams. I’ve got to be careful not to over-analyse this one because it’s what you do, analyse all season and review things," he was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
Leicester City and Manchester United are currently one and two points behind the Blues in the standings. A draw against Bournemouth would be sufficient for the Foxes to leapfrog Lampard's side, given they have a superior goal difference.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will need to register a win over Southampton to do the same. The Red Devils are in form at the moment with four wins on the bounce.
