Voronin wants Liverpool stay

Voronin wants Liverpool stay

10 April 2008 - 22:02

Ukrainian international Andriy Voronin has revealed he is keen to stay at Liverpool next season. Voronin had a great start to the season but spent a long spell on the sidelines with injury; and is keen to stay at the club as Rafa Benitez prepares his transfer targets for next season.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • "I never said I don't like it here," Voronin told the club's official website. "When I first moved here I didn't find it easy because I'd lived in Germany for 12 years.

"I didn't know the language but I'm gradually getting there. My wife had a baby here and I am getting more and more used to life here every day.

"We like it here and we don't have any problems with life in England or the town, except for the weather.

"Hopefully I can still help the team this season. I think I still have a lot to show the fans. I would like to stay and I hope my future is at Liverpool."
