Alves: my future elsewhere

Alves: my future elsewhere

11 April 2008 - 16:29

Sevilla defender Daniel Alves has revealed that he feels his future may lie elsewhere. The Brazilian defender has grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of success this season at the Spanish side, and several of the continent's top sides are readying a move for the player.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "We know the president and how he likes things to be done and therefore it is necessary to respect his words, just as I think differently and must respect my own mentality. I have become accustomed to this in the five years I have been here and I know how the subject goes. I have my own clear objectives," he told Marca.

"I am used to hearing the same speculation. I always said that I do not like the lies and prefer to concentrate on what is true. I want to improve and if I need to move away from Sevilla to do that I would feel for the supporters that love me, while those who don't will probably be glad to see me leave."
