Schuster reassures Diarra

13 April 2008 - 08:51

Real Madrid boss Bernd Schuster has reassured Malian midfielder Diarra that there is still a future at the club for him. There have been rumours of a summer move for the player who joined from Lyon last August, with Inter Milan heading the queue for his signature.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • "I have spoken with him," he revealed.

"I understand that players only feel important when they're playing, but at Real Madrid, one can be vital whether or not they are on the pitch.

"We have a big squad with a lot of quality, and like Gago or Robinho, Diarra is important to me, and this is what I know. I've already said what I think of him, and I trust him."
