Portsmouth reveal transfer plans

13 April 2008 - 09:14

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has revealed his transfer plans for the summer as they look to strengthen in several areas to help battle for Champions League qualification next year. Portsmouth have enjoyed an impressive season placed sixth in the Premiership and making the FA Cup Final; but Redknapp wants to build on these achievements for next season.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • Redknapp said: "I think we just have to see where we are at the end of the season and keep trying to make progress.

"So it's important to keep improving the squad over the summer.

"The owner has been fantastic with his backing and, if we can go and get two or three top class players again to add to the terrific players we've already got here, it would give us a squad that would keep taking us forward.

"I've been looking at lots of games and looking at players.

"I know the areas we need some cover in and we need to get one or two in for sure."
