Manchester United quoted price to sign 23-year-old attacker

14 September 2020 - 21:32

Manchester United have reportedly been told to pay a fee of around £50m to land the signature of David Brooks from Bournemouth.

  • Chelsea set Enzo Fernandez asking price
  • Brazilian winger wants to join Arsenal this summer
  • The Red Devils have identified Jadon Sancho as their prime target to strengthen the wide attacking department, but they have been put off by the £108m price tag.

Hence, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has urged the hierarchy to look out for potential alternatives and reports have recently claimed that David Brooks is an option for them.

Still, the Wales international won't come on the cheap and The Star claims that the Cherries won't sanction his sale for anything less than £50m this summer.

Brooks, 23, missed the entirety of the previous campaign with a serious knee injury, but he has returned in time for the new season and was recently on international duty.

Aside from Brooks, Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale has been earmarked as a potential target for the Red Devils. He could be available for just £18m this summer, but his £500,000-a-week wages are a stumbling block.
