Full back Diogo Dolot has departed Manchester United in favour of a move to AC Milan on a season-long loan. The right sided defender has agreed a transfer to AC Milan that could also be promoted to a permanent transfer, for a fee of around 23 million euros.
Since Dalot's arrival at Old Trafford, the defender has failed to live up to expectations and has spent most of his time warming the Old Trafford bench. Signed by former club manager Jose Mourinho, Dalot arrived from Porto with a high transfer fee, but was ultimately unable to push his way in to the club's first team. It is understood that AC Milan will pay the defender's full wage for the duration of his loan spell.
Having slumped to Tottenham last weekend, there had been rumours that Man Utd manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may look to keep hold of Dalot and revamp his defence. However, Dalot has simply been unable to force his way in to the club's starting XI and will now be hoping for a new lease of life in Italy and Serie A.
