Manchester United have formally ended their interest in Watford forward Ismaila Sarr.
The Red Devils expressed their interest in signing the Hornets winger earlier this summer, but their offer was rejected.
They had proposed to sign him on loan with the option to buy for £25m, but the Hornets wanted a straight-cash deal worth £45m.
A recent report from Manchester Evening News claimed that they could make a renewed bid for the player, but that does not appear the case, as per Goal.
The Red Devils landed two young wingers in Facundo Pellistri and Amad Traore on deadline day, but the latter will only join in January.
Pellistri has joined the club after a couple of seasons with Penarol in Uruguay and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could integrate him directly into the first-team.
The club have already submitted their 25-man A squad for the Champions League group stage and that may be another reason behind the stalled pursuit of Sarr.
