Derby move for Kahlenberg

Derby County are set to make an audacious offer in January for Auxerre's Danish midfielder Thomas Kahlenberg. Auxerre paid £2.5m for the player in 2005, but he could now be worth around £5.5m.

Auxerre may be reluctant to let their number 10 leave as he is regarded as one of their better midfielders, however, the club have always been renowned for giving youth a chance before selling on for larger fees.



Kahlenberg only has one year left on his contract, and will be keen to sort out his future sooner rather than later.
