Manchester United board to stick with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United's hierarchy are prepared to remain patient with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite the club's recent elimination from the Champions League.

  • Chelsea & Arsenal handed blow in Bundesliga striker pursuit

  • The Red Devils were recently ousted from the elite competition after a 3-2 defeat to RB Leipzig on the road and they will now feature in the round of 32 stage of the Europa League.

Despite the setback, the board have no concerns with the management of Solskjaer and believe he is still the right manager to carry the club forward, according to The Mail.

United are currently the in-form team in the Premier League with four wins on the bounce, but they had to work hard for the recent victories over Southampton and West Ham United.

The club were two goals behind against the Saints on the road, but they managed to make a stunning second half comeback to win 3-2. Similarly, they came from one-nil behind to beat the Hammers 3-1.

On both occasions, they were outplayed during the first half and that remains a cause for concern for the Red Devils ahead of the weekend's Manchester derby.
