Barcelona's French defender Eric Abidal has told his team mates that they must fight on in La Liga and the Champions League if they are to win a trophy this year. Barcelona are now nine points behind rivals Real Madrid.
"We're competitors and we all want to finish first," he told the club's official website.
"There are fewer and fewer games and it is difficult because there is a difference of nine points, but we want to win and we hope that Real Madrid slip up.
"The aim is to win all the games. I have faith in the league.
"We let in too many goals, and it's demoralising to see that we go in front just to concede goals.
"I try to be at 100 percent, because I don't want to let the team down in such an important final stretch in the league.
"If I don't think I'm at my best, responsibility obliges me to tell the coach not to play me."
