Derby boss Paul Jewell is confident that he will bring his side back into the Premiership next year. Jewell has already started his preparations for next year in the Championship; and the coach has plenty of experience guiding sides into the top flight as seen with both Bradford and Wigan.
Jewell told the club's official website: "I can't really defend what has gone on here this season. Despite the promotion we had last season the club wasn't in a great state when I got here - as far as spirit and morale were concerned, it wasn't great.
"But it will be great next year, that's my aim. I am not passing the buck because I will be the first to hold my hand up and say that results haven't been anything near what I'd want or expect since I've been here.
"But I am very bullish about next year. Hopefully we can get back in the Premier League and have a team we can all be proud of."
