Manchester United have received a big injury boost ahead of the Europa League tie against AC Milan in midweek.

The Red Devils registered a stunning 2-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League yesterday.

Marcus Rashford was one of the standout performers, but he was substituted in the 73rd minute with an ankle concern.

According to The Telegraph, the forward has avoided a serious injury as no ligament damage was noticed during a scan.

However, his ankle remains swollen after he received a knock while intercepting the ball from Riyad Mahrez.

Rashford will be carefully monitored over the next few days, but he is a doubt to face the Rossoneri at Old Trafford.

The San Siro giants make the trip to Manchester for the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 tie on Thursday night.

The game may see the reunion of United and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who could be fit for the Rossoneri after a muscle injury.
