Barcelona are planning to open negotiations with Ousmane Dembele over a new long-term contract.
Dembele joined the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 for £95m and he has since made only 108 appearances.
He has been unlucky with several muscle injuries, but has stayed unscathed for most of the current season.
The Frenchman has made 34 appearances in all competitions this term, registering eight goals and four assists.
According to AS, the Blaugrana are keen to hold talks with the player's representatives over a new contract.
Dembele has just 15 months left on his current deal and the club are willing to hand him a three-year extension.
Despite reviving his form, it is claimed that Dembele could accept a marginal pay-cut in order to prolong his stay.
The Blaugrana are likely to make multiple signings this summer and they could still offload some first-team stars.
Sergi Roberto has been linked with a possible departure with his contract expiring in June next year. The club have set a £60m price tag.
