Getafe to bid for Morientes

Getafe to bid for Morientes

18 April 2008 - 09:39

Getafe could raid their Copa Del Rey final opponents Valencia as they prepare a summer transfer move for former Liverpool front man Fernando Torres.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Morientes actually scored in the match between the two sides in the final, and getafe president Angel Torres could be set to pay the 32 year old up to £3 million a year to join his side.

Morientes is keen on European football though, and with Valencia automatically qualifying for the UEFA Cup after the victory over their Copa Del Rey opponents.

Getafe have already secured the signings of rafa, Ibrahim Kas, eugen Polanski and Adrian Gonzalez.
