Blackburn consider Giggs

Blackburn consider Giggs

18 April 2008 - 10:22

Blackburn boss Mark Hughes will be the first in the queue if Manchester United decide against giving the Welsh winger a new contract at the end of the season.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Bournemouth star
  • Atletico Madrid planning shock move for Chelsea star
  • Mark Hughes is a close friend of former team mate Ryan Giggs and is keen to make sure that the United player will join the Rovers at the end of the year.

However, one stumbling block could be Giggs' wage demands of over £80k a week.

Blackburn are unlikely to be able to offer even half that to the Welshman; but with rumours of a David Bentley departure in the summer, Giggs could well be on his way in.
