Hodgson ignores the gossip

Hodgson ignores the gossip

18 April 2008 - 23:50

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson prefers to focus on his sides survival chances rather than worrying about getting sacked by chairman Mohammed Al Fayed. The Fulham boss believes he has been good since he arrived at Craven Cottage.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • “I don't fear for my job,” he said. “I am fully aware that if a team fails then a manager is at risk of losing his job. But I think it has been good since I have been here, and the players have responded to the situation.

“If we run out of time and get relegated then it will be up to the club to decide what happens. I am contracted for another year and I intend to see my side through, but it will be up to the club.

“Nowadays changes in management are a common event and I will just have to accept it if happens to me. I wouldn't feel as though I deserved it.”
