Manchester United want to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United have been monitoring Cristiano Ronaldo since April

Manchester United have been keeping tabs on Cristiano Ronaldo's situation at Juventus since the beginning of April.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The Portuguese enjoyed another superb season for the Bianconeri, netting 36 goals from just 44 appearances in all competitions.

He has another 13 months left on his contract, and reports claim that the Bianconeri may be tempted to sanction his sale.

According to transfer expert Nicolo Schira, United have been holding internal talks regarding Ronaldo since April.

He added that the club's hierarchy will meet with the Bianconeri in the coming days to discuss a possible transfer.

Ronaldo was with the Red Devils between 2003 and 2009, where he registered 118 goals and 69 assists from 292 games.

He was linked with a comeback in 2018, but ended up joining the Bianconeri in a club-record deal worth £85 million.

The Turin giants are unlikely to recoup the fee, but they could ask for up to £40m for the forward this summer.

Ronaldo will be 37 next year, but he has shown little signs of slowing down, and remains one of the best in the business.
