Chelsea identify 34-goal striker as Romelu Lukaku alternative

Chelsea have identified Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka as a potential alternative to Romelu Lukaku this summer.

The Blues are keen on signing a new marksman, and they have been heavily linked with the services of Lukaku.

However, a deal may not be on the cards with the Belgian happy to stay with Inter despite the change of manager.

The club will need to look at alternatives, and ESPN claims that they are keen on Daka, who has excelled for Salzburg.

The Zambia international had a superb 2020/21 campaign with the Austrian giants, registering 32 goals and 12 assists.

His form has caught the eye of Europe\'s elite clubs, and the Blues are reportedly one of the clubs interested.

Daka reportedly has a £17m release clause on his contract, and he is expected to leave Salzburg this summer.

Sister club RB Leipzig are favourites to secure his services, but the Blues will hope to convince the marksman to join them.
