Arsenal defender set for permanent exit?

Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos could be heading for a permanent exit next summer.

  • Chelsea make final transfer decision on Cole Palmer
  • Chelsea eyeing summer deal for Ecuadorian star
  • The centre-back rejoined Stuttgart on loan during the recent transfer window with an option to buy for £3 million.

Mavropanos has since made a big impression for the Bundesliga oufit, registering two goals from four games.

According to Bild, Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat is keen on landing the centre-back on a permanent agreement.

The Greece international is expected to secure a long-term deal so long as the club avoid relegation from Bundesliga.

Mislintat signed Mavropanos for the Gunners in January 2018 after he was appointed as the head of recruitment.

He left the club in February 2019 due to the lack of freedom in finalising transfer targets for the north London club.

Mislintat has since become the sporting director at Stuttgart, where he has been lauded for his quality recruitment.

Mavropanos made just eight competitive appearances for the Gunners. He may have played his final game for the club.
